How To Cook Pea Soup With Potatoes And Smoked Pork Breast - Recipe

Required products :

300 grams of dry crushed peas
300 smoked pork breast
4-5 potatoes
1 head old onion
1-2 medium carrots
3 liters suitable broth (or water)
2 tablespoons sunflower oil
parsley
black pepper and salt

 

Method of preparation :

Wash the peas, pour water over them, leave overnight and drain the liquid.

Transfer the beans to a suitable saucepan, pour clean water or broth and place on the hob. Let the peas boil for about an hour and a half.

Add the peeled and diced potatoes to the peas, add salt and broth (or water) if necessary.

While the potatoes are cooking, cut the carrots into circles and the onion into cubes. Fry them in hot oil until golden brown. Pour into the pot with the other products.

Let the soup simmer for a few minutes, during which time cut the smoked breasts into thin strips. Fry them in a hot dry pan until a crispy crust forms.

Add them to the finished soup, sprinkle with chopped fresh parsley. Done, all you have to do is serve.
