Required products :

  • 200 grams of long grain rice
  • 150 grams of chickpeas
  • 2 large onions
  • 300 grams of carrots
  • 50 grams of dried mushrooms
  • 3 tablespoons oil
  • Bay leaf
  • coriander
  • pepper
  • spring
  • left
  • other spices of your choice and taste

 

Method of preparation :

Pour chickpeas with warm water and leave for 12 hours. Pour boiling water over the rice for 20-30 minutes. Boil the mushrooms in salted water for 10-15 minutes, then drain the liquid with a colander. Save the mushroom decoction.

Grate the carrots on a coarse grater, chop the onion.

Heat the oil and fry the onion in it until transparent together with the spices. Add the carrots and stew for 5 - 7 minutes.

It's time for the mushrooms, pour them into the bowl with the vegetables, fry for another 5-7 minutes. Add salt to taste.

Transfer them to a thick-bottomed saucepan and add the rice and chickpeas to the mixture. Pour the mushroom decoction (1 liter) and let the dish simmer for an hour.
