Required products :

  • 1 teaspoon butter at room temperature
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons white granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1 teaspoon almond extract
  • 3 1/4 tea cups white flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/4 tea cup of cocoa
  • 3 tablespoons dark rum
  • pinch of salt

Method of preparation :

Beat the sugar and butter with a mixer until creamy. Add the eggs, milk and almond extract.

Add salt and baking powder to the flour. Pour the mixture into the liquid products and stir.

Grease a cake pan with oil, butter or cooking spray and sprinkle with flour. Pour half of the dough into it and add cocoa and dark rum to the rest. Stir until the cocoa dough is colored.

Using a spoon, divide the dough into piles, and with a knife make different shapes in the dough, this will make the patterns in the cake.

Bake at 170 degrees for 1 hour, until dry. Cool before cutting.
