How To Cook Pork Chop With Crispy Crust And Red Cabbage - Recipe

Required products :

  • 4 pork chops, fillets
  • 1 red onion, thinly sliced
  • 750 grams of red cabbage, grated
  • 250 milliliters of cranberry juice
  • 100 grams of dates, cut in bulk
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 100 grams of breadcrumbs
  • 100 grams of flour mixed with spices
  • 1 egg, broken
  • 3 tablespoons red wine vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons oil, plus 1 teaspoon for frying
  • 1 teaspoon coriander
  • 1 teaspoon spice for barbecue
  • 4 teaspoons cumin
  • 1 handful of arugula

Method of preparation :

  • In a large skillet, fry the onions with 1 teaspoon of oil until soft.
  • Sprinkle with 1 teaspoon of cumin and other spices.
  • After about a minute, add the cabbage, dates, brown sugar, cranberry juice and vinegar.
  • Stir and simmer under a lid for about 20 minutes. Stir periodically.
  • During this time, beat the steaks to a thickness of 0.5 cm.
  • Mix the breadcrumbs with the remaining cumin in a plate.
  • Roll each steak in the flour, dip in the egg and finally roll in breadcrumbs.
  • Heat the oil to a high temperature and fry the pork fillets until golden for about 2-3 minutes on each side.
  • Serve the steaks warm, garnished with stewed red cabbage and sprinkled with fresh arugula leaves.
