How To Cook Pork Chops In A Pan With Mushrooms And Sauce - Recipe

Learn how to cook "Pork chops in a pan with mushrooms and sauce". Delicious recipe.

Required products :

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 kg of pork chops
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper powder
  • 500 grams of mushrooms, cut into thin slices
  • 4 finely chopped garlic cloves
  • 1 teaspoon thyme
  • 2 teaspoons chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon hot mustard
  • 3 tablespoons cream

Method of preparation :

Heat the olive oil in a large skillet until the fat starts to smoke. Meanwhile, dry the meat and season with salt and pepper.

Put the steaks in a hot pan and fry them for 2-3 minutes on the side until browned. Transfer to a plate.

Fry the mushrooms in the pan until browned and softened - about 6 minutes. Add the garlic, thyme and cook until they release their aroma - for about 30 seconds. Add the chicken broth and with a wooden spoon scrape off any leftover meat that is at the bottom of the pan.

Reduce the heat and return the meat to the pan (along with any juices that have separated in the plate). Cover with a lid and simmer for 10 minutes until the meat is cooked through.

If you have a meat thermometer, you can check when it reads 65 degrees in the middle of the meat, so it's ready.

Remove from the heat, stir in the mustard and cream sauce. Season with salt and pepper if necessary and serve.
