Required products :

  • 1/2 cup Marsala wine
  • 2 teaspoons cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup white flour
  • 4 pork chops, boneless
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 teaspoons olive oil
  • 4 thin slices of prosciutto, cut
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1-2 leaves of green onions, chopped
  • 1 cup low-fat milk

* A tea cup is used to measure the quantities.

Method of preparation:

Mix in a small bowl until homogeneous 2 tablespoons of wine with cornstarch.

Put flour in a shallow dish. Season the cutlets with salt and pepper and roll in flour.

Heat the olive oil in a large non-stick skillet over medium heat, then reduce the heat and fry the pork chops. Transfer them to a plate. Put the prosciutto in the pan and fry for a minute, stirring constantly so that it does not burn. Add onion and fry until soft, then pour the remaining 6 tablespoons of wine, pour oregano and garlic. Bring to the boil.

Add the milk and starch mixture to the pan and bring to a boil. Stir often until the sauce thickens, then let the pork chops simmer for 1-2 minutes.

Serve garnished with finely chopped fresh green onions.
