How To Cook Pork Roll With Apples, Dried Fruits And Nuts - Recipe

Learn how to cook "Pork roll with apples, dried fruits and walnuts". Delicious recipe.

Required products :

  • 1-1.5 kilograms of pork fillet
  • 5-6 large apples
  • 150 grams of dried blueberries or other dried fruits (prunes, cherries)
  • 200 grams of walnuts
  • 50 milliliters of olive oil
  • salt and a mixture of different types of pepper
  • 5-6 sprigs of thyme or savory
  • 1 tablespoon honey

Method of preparation :

Wash the pork, dry it and cut it with a thin knife to get a thick leaf, which you pound, season with different types of pepper and add salt. Sprinkle with thyme or savory, then cover with plastic wrap and leave the meat at room temperature for an hour and a half.

Turn on the oven to preheat to 220 degrees, during which time cut the apples into large cubes, walnuts and dried fruit - into small pieces. Mix the latter with honey and stir. Wait for the apples to release their juice and then evenly distribute all the fruit on the pork, sprinkle with walnuts and roll a tight roll, which is tied with a suitable string.

Wrap it in several layers of aluminum foil, before pouring the juice that has separated from the apples.

Place in the oven at 220 degrees for 30 minutes, then reduce the temperature to 180 and let the dish cook for another 45 minutes. Of course, the indicated time is approximate and may be different, depending on the thickness of the roll and the type of meat used.
