How To Cook Pork Skewers With Fruit, Bacon And Chili Sauce - Recipe

Necessary products

For skewers:

  • 1 peach or nectarine (remove the stone and cut the fruit into 6 pieces)
  • 1 banana, peeled and cut into 6
  • 12 strips of bacon
  • 220-230 grams of lean pork, cut into small cubes


For chili sauce:

  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 onion, peeled and chopped
  • 1 apple, peeled and sliced
  • 1 red chili pepper, cleaned of seeds and chopped
  • 3 tablespoons ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon curry sauce
  • 300 milliliters of pineapple juice


Method of preparation :

Wrap each piece of fruit (peach and apple) in a thin strip of bacon. Then string them on metal skewers, alternating fruit, two pieces of meat, fruit ... Grease with oil and bake on charcoal or on a well-heated grill.

It takes about 15 minutes for the meat to turn red. If this happens faster, use aluminum foil to adjust the baking speed.


Make chili sauce.

Heat the butter in a small saucepan and pour in the onion, apple pieces, chili pepper and cook until soft. Then add the ketchup, curry sauce and pour the pineapple juice.

Once the mixture boils, simmer for 10 minutes.


Serve the skewers with sauce, and suitable garnish are fruits and fresh cabbage.
