Required products :

  • 1/2 kg of pork
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano, marjoram and basil
  • salt and pepper
  • pinch of rosemary
  • 1/2 lemon
  • 1 teaspoon green lentils
  • 300 grams of pumpkin
  • 1 large carrot
  • 1 onion
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon water

Method of preparation :

Wash the pork, dry it and rub with salt, ground black pepper and herbs. Sprinkle with lemon juice and leave to marinate overnight.

Wash the lentils, pour them into a saucepan and pour cold water, which should completely cover the berries. Place on the hob. As soon as the water boils, immediately pour the lentils into a colander.

The next day, put the meat in a pan, pour half a glass of water, cover with foil and bake for about an hour at 180 degrees in the oven.

Meanwhile, cut the pumpkin into large cubes, carrot - into circles, onion - into small pieces, finely chop the garlic.

Heat olive oil, add butter to it and in this combination fry the pumpkin, carrot and onion for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally. Then add the lentils to the vegetables, garlic, stir again and cook for another 5 minutes. Season with black pepper and salt.

Remove the pork from the oven, but leave the appliance switched on. Remove the foil from the pan and pour the lentils with the vegetables over the meat. Pour 3 tablespoons of water and return the dish to the oven.

Cook the dish for 40-45 minutes, without covering with foil and stirring periodically.
