Required products :

  • 1.5 kilograms of potatoes
  • 120 grams of butter
  • 3 eggs
  • 150 grams of ham
  • 200 grams of smoked cheese
  • 200 grams of mozzarella
  • 4 tablespoons chopped parsley
  • breadcrumbs for sprinkling
  • oil to lubricate the mold
  • salt and pepper to taste

Method of preparation :

Boil the potatoes and mash them. Add the lightly beaten eggs to them and stir. Add salt and pepper to taste, parsley, melted butter and diced ham. Mix everything well.

Grease a suitable form with butter (you can use a glass bowl, for example) and sprinkle with breadcrumbs bottom and walls. Put in the bowl 1/3 of the potato mixture, followed by a layer of sliced smoked cheese and again a layer of potatoes, then mozzarella, finish with potatoes. "Seal" everything with breadcrumbs.

Preheat the oven to 200 degrees and let the "cake" bake for about 35 - 40 minutes. When it is ready, wait for it to cool down a bit (for 10 minutes) so that the potatoes can easily peel off the walls of the dish, although in the presence of breadcrumbs, they should not stick. With a quick motion, turn the cake on a suitable tray or tray, remove the form.

It is best to eat the dish warm - neither hot nor cold. It is suitable to be served with white wine.

Enjoy your meal!
