Required products :

  • 1 kg of potatoes
  • 1 teaspoon chopped green onions
  • 1 teaspoon ordinary onion, chopped
  • 5 tablespoons butter
  • 5 tablespoons flour
  • 2 1/2 teaspoons fresh milk
  • 2 tablespoons Worcester sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper (preferably ground at the moment)
  • a pinch of paprika
  • 2 finely chopped hot peppers
  • 2 tea cups grated cheddar
  • 2 teaspoons ham
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 3 tablespoons butter

Method of preparation :

Peel the potatoes and cut them into 1 cm cubes

Put them in a saucepan, add both onions, salt and cover with water. Boil for 10-14 minutes until soft. Drain and set aside.

Melt the butter in a saucepan, add the flour and stir to combine. Pour the milk and stir to dissolve the flour. Add Worcestershire sauce, mustard, salt, pepper, hot pepper and paprika. Stir to turn all products into a smooth sauce.

Grease a large pan well and put half of the potatoes with onions. Spread half of the cheese and the whole amount of ham on top. Arrange the remaining potatoes, pour the sauce, sprinkle with the remaining cheddar. Finish with the bread crumbs and put 3 tablespoons of butter in small pieces on the breadcrumbs.

Bake for 15 minutes until crispy
