Required products :

  • 30 grams of potato starch
  • 3 onions
  • 700 grams of raw potatoes
  • salt to taste
  • 15 grams of flour for the dough + more for rolling the meatballs
  • prunes to taste (can be replaced with dried apricots)
  • 45 milliliters of oil
  • 1 teaspoon granulated sugar

Method of preparation :

Peel the potatoes, boil them in salted water, then drain. Mash them into a puree and pour the starch and flour into it. Pour 3 tablespoons of oil, add salt to taste and stir.

Soak prunes (or apricots) for a quarter of an hour in hot water.

Make meatballs from the potato dough, placing 1-2 pieces of fruit in the middle of each.

Roll in flour and fry on both sides in oil.

Peel an onion, cut it into semicircles and pour it into the fat left over from cooking the meatballs. Fry the onion until golden brown, then sprinkle with sugar. In a few minutes the slices will caramelize - they will soften and cover with a golden crust.
