Required products :

  • 450 grams of potatoes, boiled and cut into cubes
  • 4 tablespoons fresh milk
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, pressed
  • 230 grams of spinach
  • 1 teaspoon grated cheese
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice, freshly squeezed
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten
  • 100 grams of breadcrumbs
  • 4 tablespoons oil

For garnish :

  • marinara sauce

Method of preparation :

 

  • In a large bowl, mash the potatoes with the milk.
  • Heat the butter in a large skillet over low heat and fry the garlic for about 3 minutes.
  • Add the spinach and cook for another 3 minutes until soft.
  • Transfer the mixture to the bowl with the potatoes and add the cheese, lemon juice and egg. Stir well.
  • Add the breadcrumbs and use your hands to knead the "minced meat".
  • Moisten your palms and use 2 tablespoons of the mixture to form the potato meatballs.
  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat and fry for about 4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  • Serve the meatballs warm, garnished with marinara sauce.
