How To Cook Potato Quiche With Ham, Mushrooms And Cheese - Recipe

Learn how to cook "Potato quiche with ham, mushrooms and cheese". Delicious recipe.

Required products :

  • 2 potatoes (grated in cold water)
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 4 tablespoons oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

for the stuffing:

  • 200 grams of ham
  • 1 cup grated cheddar cheese (or other hard cheese of your choice)
  • 6 eggs
  • 1/2 cup cooking cream
  • 1/4 tea cup of fresh milk
  • 3 tablespoons flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 crushed clove of garlic

Method of preparation :

Soak the potatoes for 10 minutes in cold water, stirring occasionally with your hands to remove excess starch from them. Strain them and rinse until the water is clear. Squeeze well with your hands. Place several layers of kitchen paper on the counter and place the potatoes on top. Dry them to remove excess moisture. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.

In a non-stick pan that you can put in the oven later, heat the oil and butter. Pour the potatoes and press them to the bottom of the dish to form a pancake. Allow to fry and turn carefully using a plate (place it on the pan and quickly turn it over, then return the pancake to the pan with the unbaked side down).

Transfer the marshmallows to a quiche pan.

In a bowl, mix the eggs, garlic, cream, milk, flour, baking powder and salt. Mix well and add the ham and yellow cheese, stir again.

Pour the filling into the pan over the crispy potato crust. Bake in the middle of the oven for 45 minutes (preheat it to 180 degrees). It is advisable after the 35th minute to check if the dish is ready so as not to overcook it.

Allow the slurry to cool before serving.
