peel 5 large oranges

Method of preparation :
Fill the orange peels with water and leave them for 1-2 days, changing the water periodically. When the white layer softens, scrape it with a knife and cut the thin crusts into small pieces. Pour them into a saucepan, fill with water and add sugar. Put the pan on the stove and heat the mixture, but do not let it boil. Before boiling, remove from heat and leave for 3-4 hours. Then put back on the stove and repeat the same procedure 2-3 more times until the water evaporates completely. Divide the preform into jars and store in the refrigerator.
