Required products :

250 grams of flour
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1.5 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
230 grams chopped dates
1 teaspoon instant coffee
110 grams butter
3 eggs
300 milliliters hot tea
3/4 teaspoon sugar


For the caramel sauce:

110 grams butter
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3/4 teaspoon brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon white sugar
300 milliliters of "golden syrup" or honey
1 teaspoon liquid cream

 

Method of preparation :

Cut the dates into small pieces and pour hot tea over them for 15 minutes.
Cover the bottom of a suitable baking dish with foil.
Beat the butter with the sugar until you get an airy mass. Then beat the eggs one by one, pour the flour sifted together with the baking powder and mix. Add the coffee, soda and vanilla extract.
Combine the dough with the dates and tea, you will get a consistency resembling thick cream. Distribute it in the prepared form and bake in the oven at 180 degrees for an hour and a half.

Make the sauce by mixing the butter with both sugar and syrup in a saucepan. Let it cook for about 5 minutes on low heat. Once removed from the heat, pour the cream, add the vanilla extract and stir for 2-3 minutes (until smooth).

Serve the pudding with the sauce.
