Necessary products

For the dough:

200 grams of pumpkin

6 tablespoons sugar

1 egg + 1 egg white

2 tablespoons sour cream

2 tablespoons butter

1 teaspoon baking powder

1 teaspoon flour

 

For cream:

1 cup fresh milk

1 tablespoon sugar

1 egg yolk

2 tablespoons butter

1 tablespoon (topped) flour

 

walnuts to sprinkle to taste

 

Method of preparation :

Grate the pumpkin and sprinkle with 2 tablespoons of sugar. Leave for 30 minutes until it releases its juice.

Beat the egg and egg white with a mixer, lightly at first, then adding 1 tablespoon of sugar, beat until airy. Add the cream and softened butter to the egg mixture.

Squeeze the pumpkin juice and save it to make an orange cream later.

Add the pumpkin to the dough mixture, then gradually add the flour, previously sifted with baking powder. The dough should be obtained with the consistency of thick cream.

Pour it into a suitable small form (no more than 16 cm in diameter), greased with oil and sprinkled with flour. Bake the marshmallows in a preheated 180 degree oven for about 40 minutes (no longer) and allow to cool.

You should get a porous, but with elastic walls.

Cut it in half to make two swamps.

 

Make a cream. Beat the pumpkin juice (about 50-60 milliliters) until smooth with a glass of fresh milk, sugar and egg yolk.

Melt the butter in a saucepan and add the flour, stirring constantly. Then gradually pour the milk combination and leave on the stove until the cream thickens. Bring to a short boil and cool.

Sprinkle the cooled marshmallows with it and sprinkle with crushed walnuts to taste.

Assemble the cake and let the cream absorb for about an hour at room temperature.
