How To Cook Pumpkin Cake With Orange Glaze And Walnuts - Recipe

Required products :

150 - 170 grams peeled and cleaned of pumpkin seeds

120 grams of sugar

120 grams of flour

2 eggs

pinch of salt

1 teaspoon baking powder

100 milliliters of oil

1 packet of vanilla

1 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)

 

For the glaze:

50 milliliters of orange juice

25 grams of sugar

25 grams of butter

1 teaspoon potato starch

walnuts or other nuts of your choice for decoration

 

Method of preparation :

Grate the pumpkin finely.

Mix the eggs and sugar, add a pinch of salt.

Beat until fluffy, add the pumpkin, vanilla, oil, without stopping to beat.

In the resulting mixture pour the sifted flour with baking powder and cinnamon, continue to beat at low speed until smooth.

Grease a cake pan with oil, pour the dough into it and bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for about 50 minutes (check the readiness with a toothpick).

Meanwhile, make the glaze. Melt the butter in a suitable pan, pour the orange juice, add the sugar and bring to a boil.

Dissolve the starch in 2 tablespoons of cold water or orange juice, gradually add it to the boiling mixture, stirring constantly. Cook over low heat until thickened.

Wait for the finished cake to cool a bit and pour the orange glaze. Garnish with crushed nuts of your choice, cut into pieces and serve.
