Do you want to prepare delicious pumpkin-shaped breads in the spirit of autumn? It is not very difficult, although it requires a lot of dexterity, but the result is worth it. We show you how to make a pizza in a pumpkin step by step! :)

Required products :

  • 60 grams of finely chopped pepperoni (or other sausage of your choice)
  • 80 grams of grated ripe mozzarella (or yellow cheese)
  • 100 grams of tomato pizza sauce
  • 15 grams of fresh basil, finely chopped and a few small leaves for decoration
  • pizza dough (about 700 grams)
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 teaspoon paprika

Method of preparation :

Turn on the oven to preheat to 200 degrees (at 180 with a fan).

Mix the pepperoni, tomato sauce and mozzarella in a bowl, add the chopped basil (be sure to keep small petals for decoration).

Divide the dough into two parts, roll each out and cut into 4 pieces, you should have a total of 8 pieces.

In the center of each piece of dough put 1 tablespoon of the filling and salt.

 

Fold the ends towards the center, holding them together, you will get something like bags.

 

Cut off the excess dough on top with scissors.

 

Take twine and cut ties about a meter long. Wrap around the dough so that you form a pumpkin. Tighten lightly so that the dough protrudes between the ties, but should not break. Also, if it is too tight, you risk the filling coming out. Tie a knot on top and cut off the excess.

Season the egg yolk with red pepper, if you wish you can add turmeric for an even stronger color, or hot pepper for more flavor.

 

Spread the small pumpkin balls.

Arrange them in a pan and bake for 20 minutes with the knot down. Turn them over and bake for another 10 minutes. Don't worry if the stuffing comes out from somewhere, it's not so fatal.

Cool for 5 minutes, carefully cut the string and remove it.

Garnish with small basil leaves.
