Necessary products:

  • 200 grams of cooked chickpeas
  • 2 pieces of boiled red beets
  • 1 tablespoon tahini
  • juice of half a lemon
  • 1 clove garlic
  • salt and three tablespoons of olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
  • thyme leaves for decoration
  • a wholemeal tortilla bread for garnish

Method of preparation:

Put chickpeas, beets, tahini, squeezed lemon juice, salt, garlic and a tablespoon of olive oil in the blender jar. Grind the mixture to a homogeneous mixture and cool.

Cut the bread into triangles. Arrange them in a pan covered with a sheet of parchment and season with thyme, salt and olive oil. Bake for 20 minutes at 170 degrees.

Pour the cold hummus into a bowl, sprinkle with sesame seeds and garnish with a sprig of thyme. Serve with warm bread, spread and enjoy.
