Required products :

  • 1 tablespoon high quality olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon finely chopped onion
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 2 1/2 teaspoons hot pepper powder (maybe cayenne pepper)
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
  • a pinch of black pepper and salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon cumin powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 1/4 tea tomato salsa
  • 170 grams of canned tomato sauce

Method of preparation :

Put olive oil in a saucepan and wait for it to warm up. Add the garlic and stew for 1-2 minutes. Add onion, oregano, hot pepper powder, basil, black pepper and salt, cumin, parsley, salsa and tomato sauce.

Stir and add a glass and a half of water to the sauce. Simmer for 15-20 minutes until the liquid is reduced. When the enchilada looks like lyutenitsa, remove from the heat and pour into sterilized jars.

You can use the sauce for sandwiches with meat or pasta.
