Required products :

  • 500 grams of flour
  • 2 incomplete teaspoons of leavening agent
  • 150 grams of sugar
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 250 grams of cold butter
  • 300 grams of red currant jelly
  • a few cocktail cherries
  • powdered sugar

Method of preparation :

Mix the flour with the baking powder, the two types of sugar, the egg + the yolk and the grated butter. Quickly knead a homogeneous dough, which is stored in the refrigerator for 1 hour.

Preheat oven to 180 degrees.

When you take the dough out of the fridge, roll out a thin layer on a plate sprinkled with flour. Cut the desired shapes (in this case, a diamond) with jagged edges, different in size. Arrange them in a pan on baking paper and place in a preheated oven for about 12 minutes, then remove and allow to cool.

It's time to assemble. Form cookie pyramids, for example, by arranging three of different sizes on top of each other. Glue them with jelly. Garnish with cocktail cherries, sprinkle with powdered sugar.

Enjoy your meal!
