Necessary products for 4 servings:

  • 200 grams of round grain rice
  • 500 ml of water
  • 600 ml of fresh milk
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 50 grams of butter
  • 2 eggs
  • pinch of salt

Method of preparation:

Bring the cleaned and washed rice to a boil and when this is done, reduce the heat and leave on the stove for 5 minutes. The grains should be transparent at the end and white in the middle. Drain the water using a colander. Then pour the milk over the rice and let it boil. It is good to stir from time to time to avoid milk crust. Cook the rice until semi-finished - it should be slightly raw. He will take the milk, of which there will be almost nothing left. You should add sugar and salt.

Separate the egg whites from the yolks. Beat the yolks well and add to the rice. Allow the mixture to cool. During this time, grease the form in which you will bake with butter. Add the remaining amount to the rice and stir.

Beat the egg whites into a thick foam and add them carefully to the rice and yolks, using a spatula and scooping the contents from the bottom up. The mixture should be fluffy (by eye). Stir until smooth and pour into the baking dish.

Preheat the oven to 120 degrees and then bake the future pudding for about 15-25 minutes (baking time depends on your oven and the thickness of the mixture).

The pudding should increase its volume evenly over the entire surface.

The finished dessert is served with fruit, sprinkled with cinnamon and chocolate. Inside you can put rum-soaked dried fruits. There are different options for making rice pudding, but we suggest you arrange with pieces of kiwi and blueberry jam, because the combination between the sweet dessert and the slightly sour taste of blueberries and kiwi is very interesting and delicious.

Enjoy your meal!
