How To Cook Roast Chicken In Milk With Garlic And Lemon - Recipe

Required products :

  • 1 chilled chicken / 1 1/2 kg /
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 1/2 stick cinnamon
  • 1/4 teacup of sage leaves
  • 2 lemons, only peel, grated
  • 10 cloves garlic, whole and unpeeled
  • 2 1/4 teacups fresh milk

Method of preparation :

  • Wash the chicken thoroughly under cold running water and pat dry with kitchen paper.
  • Season the meat with salt and freshly ground black pepper, rubbing on all sides.
  • Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium heat and fry the chicken on all sides until golden brown.
  • Transfer to a pan without adding the fat in which it was fried and add the remaining ingredients.
  • Cover the pan with aluminum foil and bake in a preheated 180-degree oven for about 40 minutes.
  • Remove the foil and bake for another 50 minutes, periodically watering the meat with the sauce.
  • Wait at least 5 minutes before transferring the chicken to a serving plate.
  • Strain the sauce and serve separately.
