How To Cook Roast Chicken With Lemon And Spicy Spices - Recipe

Roast chicken is always a good choice for a cohesive lunch or dinner with the whole family. This spicy citrus recipe goes great with a glass of cold drink.

Required products :

  • 1 chicken
  • 1 tablespoon fennel seeds, finely ground
  • 2 teaspoons hot red pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 1/4 tea cup olive oil
  • 2 lemons, cut into quarters
  • fresh parsley or coriander to serve, optional

Method of preparation :

Preheat oven to 160 degrees.

Dry the chicken with kitchen paper.

Mix the ground dill seeds, hot red pepper, salt, smoked red pepper, black pepper, garlic and olive oil and spread the chicken with the resulting mixture. Season with lemon slices.

Place the chicken, breast-side up, in a baking tray lined with parchment paper. Arrange the lemon slices on the side and bake in the preheated oven for about 1 hour or until the meat is tender. Drizzle it with the fat in which it is cooked, every 30 minutes.

Remove the roasted chicken, leave for 15 minutes, serve with sliced ​​lemons and fresh parsley or coriander leaves if desired.
