Necessary products:

 

  • 500 grams of flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cube of yeast
  • 1 teaspoon warm water
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda and water
  • 1 egg mixed with 2 tablespoons of water
  • seeds of your choice for sprinkling

 

Method of preparation:


In a bowl, sift the flour and add the salt. In another bowl pour the water, sugar and dissolve the yeast. Wait for it to activate, combine the two mixtures and add olive oil.

 

Make and leave the dough to rise. Then divide it into 8 parts, roll into wicks at least twenty centimeters long. Bend each of them like a horseshoe, twist both ends.

 

Turn and push them from the top. Do the rest of the dough in the same way.

 

Bring water to a boil in a saucepan, add baking soda and pasta.

 

After 30 seconds, remove with a slotted spoon, strain and cool. Cover the pan with a sheet of parchment, arrange the bretzels, glaze them with beaten egg and sprinkle with seeds of your choice.

 

Preheat oven to 180 degrees and bake for 10-15 minutes. When ready, wrap with a damp cloth and serve warm.
