If you are looking for a different side dish for meat dishes and want to add a little unconventional taste, serve dinner with leeks and walnuts.

Required products :

  • 1 cup walnuts
  • 1/2 teaspoon olive oil
  • left
  • 6 stalks of leeks, cut
  • 1 clove of garlic, grated
  • 1/4 teacup white wine vinegar
  • 2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon wholemeal mustard
  • 1/3 teacup chopped tarragon
  • pepper

Method of preparation :

Turn the oven to 175 degrees.

Bake the walnuts in a dry pan for 6-8 minutes, cool them, and cut them into large pieces. Transfer them to a small bowl, pour a little olive oil, and season with salt.

Wash the chopped leeks well. Put it in salted water and boil it for 10-15 minutes until soft. Drain and dry.

Season the garlic, vinegar, both types of mustard and mix well.

Pour the leeks into a plate and pour the dressing, leave for at least 10 minutes (the longer it marinates, the better).

Just before serving, sprinkle leeks with walnuts and tarragon. Season with a little extra black pepper.
