Required products :
6 onions (medium in size and approximately the same size)
6 tablespoons cooking cream
5 tablespoons parmesan
6 strips of bacon
5 tablespoons olive oil
2-3 cloves garlic
3-4 pinches of dried thyme (you can use another spice - dill, rosemary , parsley, etc.)
ground black pepper to taste
salt to taste
Preparation :
Peel an onion and put it in boiling water for 10 minutes to soften a little. Then transfer to a colander and let drain the water and cool.
Cut off the top of the heads (caps) and carefully carve the inside with a spoon, being careful not to damage the walls. You will get "bowls" of 2-3 layers of onions.
Finely chop the parts you removed and mash the garlic cloves with a press.
Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil and fry onion, garlic and thyme in it for 2 minutes. Pour the cream and remove the pan from the heat. Add the grated parmesan and spices to taste. Mix everything and with the resulting mixture fill the onion "cups", which you have previously smeared with olive oil on the inside. Wrap with bacon strips.
Arrange the appetizer in a pan, sprinkle each onion with grated Parmesan cheese, sprinkle with spices of your choice and bake in a preheated 200 degree oven for 25 minutes.
