How To Cook Russian Tea Biscuits - Recipe

Required products :

  • 1 cup soft butter
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 and 1/4 cups flour
  • 3/4 cup finely chopped nuts (optional)
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • powdered sugar for rolling

Method of preparation :

Preheat oven to 200 degrees.

Mix the butter with the powdered sugar and vanilla until smooth. Pour the flour, crushed nuts and salt and mix until a soft dough is formed.

 

Form small balls and place them at a distance of 2-3 centimeters in a greased pan. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until done (should not brown). Place on a wire rack to cool slightly.

 

Roll the warm biscuits in powdered sugar and serve.
