How To Cook Salty Easter Cake Stuffed With Smoked Cheese And Bacon - Recipe

Required products :

  • 150 grams of smoked cheese
  • 120 grams of raw-smoked bacon
  • 400 grams of flour
  • 1 egg + yolk to spread on the Easter cake
  • 200 milliliters of fresh milk + 2 more tablespoons to spread the Easter cake
  • 20 grams of fresh yeast
  • 5 grams of salt
  • 1 teaspoon liquid honey
  • 20 milliliters of vegetable oil (mustard)
  • sesame or sunflower seeds

 

Method of preparation :

Dissolve the salt, yeast and honey in the warmed milk. Add the egg, oil and stir.

 

Sift the flour and pour it in portions into the resulting liquid mixture, kneading the dough.

 

Cover it with a towel and leave for an hour in a warm place.

 

While it is rising, prepare the products for the filling. Grate the smoked cheese, cut the bacon into small strips.

 

Divide the risen dough into three equal parts and shape each into a sausage about 50 centimeters long. Then press them with your fingers to get a flat surface on which to distribute the filling (1/3 of the products on each base).

 

Close the melted cheese and bacon with the dough, you will again have three sausages, but this time with stuffing.

 

From them knit a braid, fixing its ends.

 

Place it on a sheet of parchment and smear its surface with a mixture of 2 tablespoons of milk, egg yolk and a pinch of salt. Sprinkle with sesame or sunflower seeds. Leave for 30-40 minutes in a warm place so that the dough rises once more.

 

When this happens, bake the Easter cake for about half an hour in a medium hot oven (180 degrees).

 

Serve as soon as it cools.
