How To Cook Sandwiches With Warm Bean Salad With Tuna - Recipe

Required products :

  • 200 grams of white beans
  • 1 red onion
  • stalk of fresh basil
  • 4 slices wholemeal bread
  • black pepper to taste
  • 2 small cans of tuna
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • lemon juice and paprika to taste


Method of preparation :

Soak the beans for at least 6 hours in water, then boil until done, changing the water. Then drain the liquid and allow the beans to cool.

Drain the juice from the can, pour the fish into a bowl, mash and season with black and red pepper.

Cut onions into circles and put them in cold water for 7 minutes. Chop the basil leaves.

Mix the fish in a bowl with the beans, onion, basil and a spoonful of olive oil. If desired, you can add a few chopped green olives, capers or diced pickles (1 tbsp).

Sprinkle the salad with lemon juice and serve on toasted wholemeal slices.
