Required products :

1/2 orange

2 - 3 slices of lemon

1/3 bottle of dry red wine

1/2 liter carbonated drink of the sprite type

sugar to taste

cinnamon stick

ice on request

Method of preparation :

Wash the orange and lemon very well, because they will be used together with the peels.

Cut the orange into circles, if it is large, you can cut the circles into 2 parts.

Take a suitable jug and put the citrus in it, sprinkle them with sugar to taste and mash with a spoon with a long handle. The goal is for the fruit to release its juice and the peel to be crushed (but don't get carried away, you don't need puree). If desired, you can add the cinnamon stick before performing this procedure. The other option is to put it on afterwards.

Pour the contents of the jug with the wine (about 250 ml), stir and allow to absorb the flavors and aromas. If you want, put it in the fridge so you won't need to use ice later. The drink can last from 10 minutes to several hours. The longer you wait, the redder the fruit will become.

Before serving, pour the soda and the sangria is ready.

You can replace one of the citrus fruits with an aromatic apple, peach, nectarine or a few strawberries. Also add mint if desired. But be careful not to mix a lot of fruit - 2 - 3 is enough.
