How To Cook Sarmi With Beans And Minced Meat In Vegetable Sauce - Recipe

Required products :

1 medium fresh cabbage
500 grams of minced meat
1 teaspoon boiled or canned beans
1 onion onion
salt and spices to taste

For the sauce:

1 large eggplant
2 sweet peppers
2 large tomatoes
1 onion
1 tablespoon tomato paste
salt, paprika, bay leaf, allspice and other spices to taste and choice


Method of preparation :

Steam the fresh cabbage leaves to soften them, you can also use the microwave for this purpose.
Mix the minced meat with the beans, add the chopped onion, salt and spices. Knead.
Spread the resulting filling on the leaves and form sarmi.
Arrange them tightly in a suitable dish and start making the sauce.
Stew the chopped onion in hot oil, then add the peeled and diced eggplant, peppers (also cut into small pieces), grated tomatoes, tomato paste. Pour a glass of water and season to taste. Let everything simmer for about 5 minutes, then pour the sauce over the sarma. If necessary, add water. Let the dish simmer for about 30 minutes.
You can serve it with sour cream, with a garnish of boiled rice or with mashed potatoes.
