Required products :

  • 600 grams of sauerkraut
  • 100 grams of rice (or to taste)
  • 3 eggs
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1.5 cups of fresh milk
  • 70 grams of cheese
  • green spices at will and to taste
  • ground black pepper to taste
  • salt to taste

Method of preparation :

Stew the sauerkraut together with the juice in 1.5 tablespoons of oil until soft. Boil the rice lightly in salted water (if you want it to predominate, add more or vice versa). Put the cheese, chopped green spices and black pepper on it.

Pour half of the stewed cabbage into a pan, the bottom of which you have previously greased with oil. Put the rice on top and finish with the rest of the cabbage. Pour a mixture of beaten eggs and milk.

Bake the dish in a preheated oven, an appetizing yellow crust should form.

The casserole can be served as a main dish or as a side dish to fish or meat. Some prefer to add tomatoes. Improvise and prepare the most delicious cabbage casserole.
