Necessary products:
0.5 kg of dried fruits (raisins, dates, cranberries, etc.)
3 tablespoons cognac or whiskey
3 sec. l. citrus juice
3 eggs
150 grams of sugar
120 grams of butter
100 grams of almonds
100 grams of flour
1 tsp spices (cinnamon, cardamom, ginger)
pinch of salt
For decoration - powdered sugar and whole raw almonds
2 tablespoons whiskey to irrigate the text
Method of preparation:
3-4 days before the day you decide to make the cake, soak the dried fruit in cognac and juice, close with a tight lid and put in the refrigerator. Drain the finished fruit from the excess liquid. Crush the almonds, mix them with the butter, flour, spices, salt and stir until smooth.
Beat the eggs with the sugar until the crystals dissolve and form a foam. Mix the egg and almond masses and beat with a blender.
Roll the dried fruits in flour so that they do not sink to the bottom of the pan during baking. Pour them into the dough and mix again.
Grease the pan in which you will bake with oil, carefully pour the mixture and bake at a moderate temperature until ready.
Decorate the finished cake with almonds and sprinkle with powdered sugar if desired. Allow to cool completely by placing it on a towel. Drill in several places with a toothpick, put drops of whiskey in the holes. Wrap it in paper and put in the fridge for a while.
