Required products :

  • 450 grams of shrimp, peeled
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon tapioca starch
  • 1 teaspoon unsweetened coconut shavings
  • 2 tablespoons coconut flour
  • pinch of salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika
  • 3 tablespoons coconut oil

Method of preparation :

  • Beat the egg in a small bowl and add the tapioca starch. Stir.
  • In another bowl, mix the coconut shavings, coconut flour, salt and paprika.
  • Melt the coconut oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  • Dip the shrimp in the egg mixture, shake off the excess and roll in the coconut mixture.
  • Fry for about 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown, cooking in batches. Add coconut oil to the pan if necessary.
  • Remove the coconut shrimp on kitchen paper to drain off excess fat.
  • Serve warm with a sauce of your choice.
