How To Cook Soda Bread With Oatmeal, Raisins And Walnuts - Recipe

Required products :

1 teaspoon wheat flour

1 cup ground oatmeal

1/4 tea cup sugar

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

1 teaspoon baking powder

55 grams of butter

1/3 tea cup raisins

1/3 cup walnuts

1/3 tea cup chopped dried figs

1 cup yogurt

Method of preparation :

Mix all the dry ingredients in a bowl, add the dried fruits, nuts and diced butter. Grind with your hands to get "crumbs".

 

Pour the yogurt and stir. You should get a sticky dough. Put it on a plate, well sprinkled with flour and knead until it absorbs everything. Form a loaf with a diameter of 15 - 18 cm, place in a pan sprinkled with flour and make several cuts on the surface of the dough with a knife about 2 cm deep and no more than 10 cm long. Sprinkle on top with 1 teaspoon of flour.

 

Bake the bread at 180 degrees for 50-60 minutes. When removed from the oven, place on a wire rack to cool and cover with a towel.
