How To Cook Spicy Pork Shank In Beer With Ginger, Onion And Garlic - Recipe

Required products :

  • 1 knuckle
  • 2 onions
  • peppercorns to taste
  • 250 milliliters of beer
  • 3 bay leaves
  • 200 milliliters of water
  • 2 teaspoons ginger
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 2 tablespoons mustard
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • salt and ground black pepper to taste

Method of preparation :

Pour beer and water into a saucepan, add onion (whole heads), bay leaves, black peppercorns, salt. Put the shank and simmer over medium heat for about an hour.

Grate the ginger, mash the garlic with a press and rub the shank with them, after removing from the heat and removing from the broth.

Make the marinade: mix the mustard, soy sauce, honey in a suitable bowl and add ground black pepper. Pour it over the shank, wrap it tightly in foil and leave at room temperature for 2-3 hours.

Then bake in a preheated oven at 220 degrees for an hour or until done. Unfold the foil, reduce to 200 degrees and let the dish bake until golden brown.
