Required products :

  • 500 grams of raw shrimp, peeled
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2/3 tea glass of beer
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 1/4 tea cup sweet chili sauce
  • 1 tablespoon parsley / fresh or dried /
  • 1 pinch of hot red pepper / optional /

Method of preparation :

  • In a large skillet, heat the olive oil and butter, shaking occasionally to mix.
  • Stew onions for about 5 minutes until soft.
  • Add the beer, tomato paste, sweet chili sauce and parsley. If you like more spicy foods, sprinkle with a pinch of cayenne pepper and stir.
  • After the sauce boils, add the shrimp and cook for about 3 minutes or until pink. You may need to cut a shrimp to make sure they are completely ready, as it will be difficult for you to judge because of the sauce. Keep in mind that cooking time varies depending on their size.
  • Serve the shrimp with a garnish of boiled rice or baked potatoes.
