How To Cook Spinach With Chicken And Mozzarella - Recipe

Learn how to cook "Spinach sarma with chicken and mozzarella". Delicious recipe.

Required products :

  • 2 bunches of spinach (the bigger the leaves, the faster you will prepare the sarma)
  • 200 grams of chicken (or mixed minced meat) / you can also use mushrooms
  • 100 grams of rice
  • 1 large onion
  • 1 medium carrot
  • 1/2 fleshy pepper
  • a little cream
  • 100 grams of mozzarella
  • oil
  • Bay leaf
  • salt, pepper and other spices to taste

Method of preparation :

Wash the spinach leaves well and remove the stems. Then scald the leaves in boiling water, but be careful, because they must remain tender, so do not keep them too long in it.

Finely chop the onion and fry it in oil over medium heat. When it becomes transparent, add the grated carrot and diced pepper to it. Fry until the vegetables are soft, then add the minced meat, and a few minutes later the raw rice, pre-washed under running water. Add salt and pepper to taste, let the filling cook for another 5 - 10 minutes, turn off the heat and let cool.

And here comes the most unpleasant job for most housewives - "shrinking" the sarma :). This is done in the standard way. Arrange the finished ones in a suitable container, on the bottom of which you can put the spinach stalks that you removed at the beginning. Put the bay leaf on the prepared sarma, add aromatic spices or herbs, if desired. Fill everything with hot water, which should reach half of the last layer of sarma.

Boil over low heat until ready (about 15 minutes after the water boils). Then put a few spoons of cream, grated cheese and place the dish in the oven for 7 - 10 minutes at 180 degrees.

Enjoy your meal!
