How To Cook Stewed Beef Meatballs In A Spicy Sauce With Honey And Sesame Seeds - Recipe

Required products :

  • 500 grams of minced meat (it is best to use beef)
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 4 green onion stalks (chopped)
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cloves garlic (pressed)
  • 1 teaspoon grated ginger
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • pinch of hot red pepper flakes
  • 1/4 tea cup cornstarch
  • frying oil
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth and soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar and Hoysin sauce
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 2 teaspoons sesame seeds

 

Method of preparation :

Add the breadcrumbs, egg, half of the chopped green onion, garlic, ginger and sesame oil to the minced meat. Season with salt and pepper, then mix well.

Using a teaspoon, scoop out the minced meat and form meatballs, which you roll in the cornstarch.
Heat oil in a pan (about 1 cm at the bottom) and fry the meatballs in it for about 3 minutes on all sides. Take them out on a plate and free the dish from the fat.

Return the pan to the hob (medium heat) and pour in the broth, soy sauce, vinegar, Hoisin sauce and honey. Stir to combine and place the meatballs in the bowl with the liquid. Stew them for 6-8 minutes, remove from the heat, sprinkle with the remaining 2 stalks of green onions and sesame seeds.
