Learn how to cook "Stewed carrots in orange juice with ginger". Delicious recipe.

Required products :

  • 450 grams of carrots
  • 50 grams of butter
  • 50 grams of brown sugar
  • 80 milliliters of freshly squeezed orange juice
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • salt and pepper (preferably white) to taste
  • pinch of parsley for sprinkling - optional

Method of preparation :

It is good to choose small carrots to use whole. If you do not have them, cut the larger ones into several pieces or circles.

Squeeze the orange juice, add the lemon juice. Peel a squash, grate it and squeeze the juice.

Put the butter in a saucepan or in a deep enough pan. Then add the carrots and pour the citrus juice mixture over them. Sprinkle with sugar and ginger and place the dish on the stove.

Once its contents boil, reduce the heat to a minimum and let the vegetables cook until soft (about 15-20 minutes, but the time still depends on the size of the carrot pieces).

Finally, add salt, sprinkle with white pepper and serve with a pinch of fresh parsley.

Enjoy your meal!
