Learn how to cook "Stewed mussels in butter with fresh garlic, lemon and ouzo". Delicious recipe.

Bon appetit with the suggestion of our reader and friend Tihomir Tenev, who likes to experiment in the kitchen. Here's how he prepares his favorite mussels.

Required products :

  • 1 teaspoon olive oil
  • 1/2 packet of butter (about 60 grams)
  • fresh garlic and lemon to taste
  • black pepper and salt
  • 200-300 grams of cleaned mussels
  • 10-20 milliliters of ouzo (or mastic)

Method of preparation :

Finely chop the fresh garlic and lemon (along with the peel). Pour the two products into the bowl with the mussels, season with salt and pepper and mix thoroughly.

Mix a teaspoon of olive oil and half a packet of butter in a pan and place on the stove. When the fat is hot, add the mussels and fry for about 5 minutes. Then pour a little ouzo or mastic and let the dish simmer for about half a minute.

Have a good time!
