Necessary products:

  • 1-1.5 liters of water
  • 1 kg of potatoes
  • 600 grams of pork (boneless)
  • 1-2 onions
  • 1 large carrot
  • salt and spices to taste
  • frying oil

Method of preparation:

Peel the potatoes and cut them into large pieces (4 or 6 pieces, depending on the size of the potatoes). Wash the meat, remove excess fat and skins, cut into large pieces about 3-4 cm (the larger they are, the tastier the dish will be).

Grate carrots, onions cut into semicircles. If you do not like the taste of boiled onions, cut it into very small pieces so that it boils and does not feel.

Fry in oil successively potatoes, meat, vegetables until golden. Then pour 1 liter of water in a saucepan, salt and put the meat to stew first, then add the potatoes, finally carrots and onions. Wait for everything to boil, reduce the heat and leave for at least 40 minutes. Do not close the lid of the container tightly to allow steam to escape. If you think the mixture is very thick, add a little more hot water.

Five minutes before the dish is completely ready, add the spices.

You can serve with sour cream, pickles, sprinkle with chopped green onions or make a salad of sorrel and garlic.

Enjoy your meal!
