Required products :

  • 3-4 potatoes
  • 100 grams of lentils
  • 1 onion
  • 1 carrot
  • 1 tomato
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 250-300 milliliters of water
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 2 tablespoons chopped parsley
  • salt and other spices to taste


Method of preparation :

Peel the vegetables. Finely chop the onion, carrot and tomato - into medium cubes, and potatoes - into large cubes.

Heat oil in a saucepan or skillet with a thick bottom. Fry onions for 3-4 minutes, stir.

Then add the potatoes, carrots and tomatoes, stir, pour a glass of water, close with a lid and let the vegetables simmer for 12-15 minutes.

At this stage, pour the lentils, add spices of your choice, stir, pour a little water (if necessary), close with a lid and cook for another 10-12 minutes.

Then put the crushed garlic, chopped parsley (you can use frozen if you do not have fresh), stir again, put the lid on and cook for another 2-3 minutes.

You can decorate the finished dish with fresh green spices before serving.
