Stuffed tomatoes are very quick to prepare and very easy. The perfect light dinner, no matter the season, and the combination of tomato and cheese is well known and loved by all. See how to cook the dish: 

Required products :

  • 12 tomatoes
  • 700 grams of fresh goat cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cloves garlic (crushed)
  • 2 tablespoons basil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 tea cup olive oil

Method of preparation :

Preheat oven to 220 degrees.

Cut the lids of all the tomatoes and clean the inside.

From the bottom cut a very thin slice, the goal is to stand upright. Arrange the tomatoes in a greased baking tray.

In a bowl, mix the egg and goat cheese, add the crushed garlic, finely chopped basil, season with salt and ground black pepper. Season with 2 tablespoons of olive oil.

Fill 2/3 of the tomatoes with the resulting mixture. Cover with lids and pour the remaining 2 tablespoons of olive oil.

Bake for 35 minutes until the tomatoes are completely cooked. Wait 10 minutes before serving.
