Required products :

  • 8-10 ripe and not too hard tomatoes
  • 200 grams of onions
  • 100 milliliters of melted butter
  • 2 teaspoons walnut oil
  • 2-3 cloves of garlic
  • 1 teaspoon ground walnuts
  • 6 stalks of coriander
  • 2 sprigs of basil
  • 2 teaspoons ground coriander seeds
  • 2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
  • 1 hot red pepper
  • left

 

Method of preparation :

Peeled onion, finely chop and fry over low heat until transparent in melted butter.

Crush the walnuts with the garlic and then grind.

Chop the coriander and hot pepper, mix them and pour over the onion. Reduce the heat to a minimum and 2 minutes later add the walnuts and garlic to the pan.

Pour half a tea cup of water, increase the heat and bring the mixture to a boil. When this happens, immediately remove the pan from the heat and pour the vinegar into the filling.

Wash the tomatoes and carefully carve the core of each with the blade of a knife.

Before filling them with the walnut-onion combination, add the coriander, 3-4 tablespoons of boiling water and mix thoroughly.

Once you distribute it in the tomatoes, arrange them in a row in a deep pan, pour the warm walnut sauce and leave for 1-2 hours under a lid.

Before serving the appetizer, decorate it with basil leaves and pour walnut oil .
