Required products :

  • 1 teaspoon sunflower seeds (peeled)
  • 1 teaspoon water
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 6-7 sprigs of coriander / parsley
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • boiling water


Method of preparation :

Boil the sunflower seeds in boiling water, drain it and pour the seeds into a small saucepan. Fill them with water (it can be both cold and hot) and let them stay in it for at least an hour. During this time, they will swell and become crispy. Then drain the liquid, but keep it.

Peel the garlic and chop, chop the green spice, and you can change the amount of the latter according to your preferences, and the more you use, the tastier it turns out.

Pour the two spices over the sunflower seeds, add salt and puree with a blender until the mixture is homogeneous. If desired, you can dilute with the water that you drained earlier, and the amount can vary from 1 to 5 tablespoons (according to your taste). This will give the pate a softer taste.

That is all. You can now serve it on a slice of rye bread and offer a glass of tomato juice as a side dish.
