Necessary products:

  • 2 onions
  • a little ginger
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 2 tbsp dry sherry
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp vinegar
  • 3 sec. l. ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 125 ml of fruit juice (orange or pineapple)
  • 1 tbsp starch
  • 2 tablespoons water

Method of preparation:

Finely chop the onion, garlic, ginger and fry them in oil for about 2 minutes, stirring.

Mix in a small saucepan soy sauce, vinegar, sherry, ketchup, sugar, fruit juice and bring the mixture to a boil. Then dissolve the starch in the water and add to the pan to the other ingredients. Add the spices and simmer until the desired density is obtained, stirring.

Each dish will become more appetizing and tasty, served with this great sauce. It is often used in Chinese cuisine as a marinade for meat and vegetables. It goes well with pork, fish and seafood dishes, thanks to its unique spicy taste.
