Required products :

  • 2 large red hot peppers, finely chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, peeled
  • 1/4 tea cup of vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar
  • 3/4 tea cup of water
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons water

Method of preparation :

  • Puree the peppers, garlic, vinegar, sugar, 3/4 tea cup of water and salt in a blender as smoothly as possible.
  • Transfer the mixture to a medium saucepan and heat over high heat until boiling.
  • Reduce heat and simmer for about 3 minutes or until slightly thickened.
  • In a small bowl, mix the cornflour with 2 tablespoons of water and stir.
  • Pour them into the pan, stir and cook for a few more minutes until the sauce thickens.
  • Allow it to cool completely and store in the refrigerator for no more than a month.
